Red Currant Jelly goes well with any food, especially pork – drizzled on your goats milk yoghurt isn’t a bad start to the day either.
Here’s a few jars that we did today (late July). The red currants are just hitting their best. I guess that we should end up with around 20 large pots which should last until next year. The bottle of Gordon’s in the background actually has home made sloe gin from last autumn. We drained off the gin today and the pigs will be getting the pickled sloes in their feed tomorrow. Lucky them!
